About Us
Fox Corner was originally formed in the late 1970's by four of the current lineup.
The members are:Nigel Price
12 string guitar and vocalsHoward Broadley
mouth organ, penny whistle and vocalsAndy House
fiddle, mandolin and vocalsDave Roberts
guitar and vocalsMalcolm Johns
electric bass, guitar and vocalsWe wanted to bring more of a cabaret feel to folk style entertainment by introducing comedy and a wider variety of songs.
The group we admired at the time were the 'Houghton Weavers' who had their own TV show on Granada Television. We still sing many of the songs that they were performing.
In 2004 one of our friends had a sixtieth party and asked if Fox Corner would get together for a one-off performance.
To cut a long story short, it proved to be such a success that we decided to re-form.
